Panchkula court sends Honeypreet Insan to 14 days judicial custody
Honeypreet, Ram Rahim Insan's daughter, the police claim, has admitted to masterminding the violence following his conviction
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's daughter Honeypreet Insan has been sent to 14 days judicial custody. The district court in Panchkula sent Honeypreet along with her accomplice Sukhdeep Kaur to judicial custody till October 23.
The duo will spend the next 14 days in Ambala jail. The Panchkula court was informed by the police that a mobile phone was recovered from Honeypreet Insan who was arrested last week. The court was also told that no other gadgets including laptops were found in her possession at the time of the arrest.
Honeypreet Insan has been sent to judicial custody on the day Dera Sacha Suda's chairperson Vipashsna joined the investigations and appeared before ACP Mukesh Malhotra who is heading the Special Investigation Team probing incidents of violence that broke out after Ram Rahim's conviction.
Honeypreet aka Priyanka Taneja, was arrested by the Haryana Police on October 3, days after she had gone absconding following the arrest of Ram Rahim Insan. Apart from Honeypreet 42 other people are on the police's 'wanted' list over violence that was witnessed in August.
