The Rajput Karni Sena on Friday said it will not allow Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chief Prasoon Joshi to attend the Jaipur Literature Festival that is scheduled on January 25.

"CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi will not be allowed to enter Rajasthan," Rajput Karni Sena member Sukhdev Singh said on Friday.

The outfit also said that it would not allow Padmaavat director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to shoot in Rajasthan in future.

The threat comes after a day of SC clearing Bhansali's conflict-ridden film Padmaavat and suspending the ban orders by the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Haryana.

The SC also dismissed a PIL seeking a block on the release of the film. The PIL, filed by lawyer ML Sharma, questioned the Censor Board's certificate to the film and claimed there could be murders and arson if the film is released.

The outfit, which has been protesting against the movie, took to the streets after the Supreme Court on Thursday gave a go-ahead for the pan India release of the film.

Nearly 40 activists of the Rajput Karni Sena had attacked Jyoti cinema hall in Muzaffarpur town, torn posters of Padmaavat, shouted slogans against its release and threatened to set ablaze the theatre if the film is screened.

An apex court bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, also restrained all states from banning the Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor starrer on Thursday.

"Creative freedom, freedom of speech and expression can't be guillotined... artistic freedom has to be protected," the SC said.
