Package politics: Only promise, no implementation, says Rahul Gandhi

Patna, Aug 18: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's big ticket announcement about the special package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore in poll-bound Bihar on Tuesday, Aug 18, the battle of words between the party began when the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said that "they only make promises but there is no implementation, when it comes to work".

While reacting on package politics, Rahul Gandhi attacked PM Modi and said that " the PM will promise package in Bihar, when it comes to Uttar Pradesh elections, he will announce package of Rs 2 lakh crore and when it comes to Haryana elections, he will announce Rs 3 lakh crore but nothing will happen ultimately.

Promising to ensure development in Bihar, Rs 1.25 crore plus Rs 40,000 crore for the exisiting project and total sum of Rs 1.65 lakh crore for the development of Bihar has been promised by Modi today, during Arrah rally in Bhojpur district.

Rahul attacked the BJP by reminding Modi that what he had to say about his One Rank One Pension (OROP) promise.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar preffered to skip the function.

On package politics, Kumar also reacted and said that "special package is Bihar's right and we should get what is ours." He reminded Modi that this is Bihar and not Gujarat.

The battle between the parties has begun with war of words and the special package policy to 'woo' the voters for upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.
