Out on parole, Sasikala meets "critically ill" husband in hospital

Out on parole, Sasikala Natarajan met her ailing husband who is currently under treatment in a Chennai hospital. Despite her parole condition restricting her from meeting any person, Sasikala Natarajan greeted several supports gathered outside her residence as well as the hospital on Saturday.
Setting foot in Chennai for the first time after being lodged at the Bengaluru central jail, Sasikala Natarajan- convicted in a disproportionate assets case, has been allowed to live in a relative's residence. Stringent conditions have been laid out for Sasikala's parole, one of which restricts from indulging in any political or public activity.

Sasikala received a rousing welcome by supporters who had gathered at various locations along the Bengaluru-Chennai route. On Saturday, the private hospital where Natarajan is undergoing treatment said that he would remain critical for the next few days. In a health bulletin, the hospital maintained that he was awake and oriented but was on ventilator support. "His condition will be critical for the next few days," the statement said.
Sasikala, according to the parole conditions, is not allowed to go anywhere except the residence mentioned as the place of stay during parole and the hospital where her husband is admitted.
