One gored to death, other dies of cardiac arrest at jallikattu event
The problems at the event however did not end. After the event, two groups clashed after the prizes were wrongly announced.
Two persons were killed at a jallikattu event in Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu on Sunday. While one of them was gored to death, the other died of shock. A 32 year old engineering graduate who was a spectator was attacked by the bull. He died on the spot.
Another person who was also a spectator died of cardiac arrest when the bull charged into the barricade, police officers said. The police said that at least 80 persons were injured in the incident and were treated at the venue. Some were shifted to hospital.
The problems at the event however did not end. After the event, two groups clashed after the prizes were wrongly announced. The police detained 10 persons in connection with the clash.
