Odd-even rule: BJP MPs reach Parliament by riding horse, cycle

New Delhi, April 27: In the wake of following Delhi Government's Odd-Even rule, on Wednesday, April 27 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, Manoj Tiwari came to the Parliament on a cycle and advised other fellow parliamentarians to follow the same.

While informing media, Tiwari said that "I am following the odd-even rule. My car is even numbered, and since today is odd day I have come like this. I am not saying that this should become a tradition, but those who are interested can come like this."

"As I was left with no option so, I chose to reach office by riding a cycle. I use cycle sometimes, and other Parliamentarians should also use it too," Tiwari added.

Earlier in the day, another leader from the party, Ram Prasad Sharma expressed his opposition to the scheme while choosing another way to reach parliament. Sharma was seen coming by riding a horse.

On Monday, April 25, BJP MP, Paresh Rawal violated the Odd-Even rule while reaching office in an even numbered car for which he apologised to Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal.

"Made a serious blunder by travelling in an odd number car to Parliament ... Sorry to Arvind ji n Delhiite...," the actor-politician tweeted.

Rawal even tweeted his challan copy, and said he had paid fine for violating the Odd-Even Scheme rule.
