The reference to Pakistan occupied Kashmir as 'Azad Jammu and Kashmir' by the US state department has not gone down well with India. India has approached the US over the mention of 'Azad Jammu and Kashmir' and also lodged a protest.

Now US refers to PoK as 'Azad Jammu and Kashmir'

PoK incidentally is used a launch pad for terrorists by Pakistan. 99 per cent of the terrorists from Pakistan are trained in this area and launched into India. Incidentally this is for the first time that the US has made such a reference. On earlier occasions, this area has been referred to as Pakistan administered Kashmir by the US.
