Noted Gujarati humorist and playwright Tarak Mehta passes away
Noted Gujarati humorist and playwright Tarak Mehta who gained huge popularity for his column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma in Gujarati language passed away on Wednesday morning in Ahmedabad.
Noted Gujarati humorist and playwright Tarak Mehta who gained huge popularity for his column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma in Gujarati language passed away on Wednesday morning in Ahmedabad. He died at the age of 87 years after suffering from a prolonged illness.
The popular show on Sab TV, called Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been based on his column and it soon went on to become the flagship show of the channel.
Mehta was also awarded with Padma Shri in the year 2015.
As soon as the news broke on Wednesday morning, condolences poured in on Twitter.
