Lucknow, Dec 6: Curtains are slowly raising over Noida Authority's chief engineer's Yadav Singh and his wife's corrupt empire, involved in illegal plot allocation. Income Tax sources are now claiming that Yadav Singh's syndicate grabbed more than 320 plots in a period of four years and the estimated worth of these plots is whopping Rs 750 crore.

This means each plot has an average worth of Rs 2.5 crore. As per IT slueths, Singh's sindicate made huge tax evasions in sale-purchase of these plots.

As per reports, in the year 2011-12 Noida Authority had allotted a total of 319 plots. Out of these 319 plots, 31, including five big plots, came in the hands of Singh's syndicate. [Billionaire Noida engineer got job without engineering degree!]

Documents found in the raids at Yadav Singh, the former chief engineer of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Development Authority, and his associate's residences have revealed that the syndicate made crores by selling such plots at inflated rates and the firm even evaded tax.

IT officials have found that plots were sold at prices ranging between Rs 2 and 15 crore to business and construction firms. By doing so, the syndicate made crores but didn't pay any tax return.

Earlier on Friday, several social organisations took to the streets demonstrating against Yadav Singh. Hundreds of crores in ill-gotten wealth, diamonds and gold were recovered last week from his residence. The protesters attempted to submit a memorandum to officials at the Noida Authority office but were prevented from doing so. They clashed with the police and the Authority's security personnel there.

Alleging that Yadav Singh was just the pivot in the multi-crore rupee scandals in the Authority, the protesters sought his arrest and suspension.

They also demanded the union government's intervention in the matter, saying they were certain that the Samajwadi Party (SP) government in Uttar Pradesh would not act against the corrupt engineer. Yadav Singh's residence in Noida was raided a week ago, leading to the recovery of diamonds worth Rs. 100 crore, several kgs of gold ornaments, Rs. 10 crore in cash and luxury cars.

Several multicrore rupee tenders issued and approved by Yadav Singh have now come under the Income Tax department's scrutiny.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also begun a probe into the matter. Since the state government has not acted against Yadav Singh, neither any probe has been ordered nor has he been suspended.
