Patna, April 28: After sharing a brief bonhomie, former arch-rivals, Bihar Chief Minister and JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad are again at loggerheads.

Nitish-led JD(U) wants 2010 Bihar assembly elections to be the criteria for the next assembly polls, but Lalu-led RJD wants 2014 Lok Sabha elections to be the criteria.

It must be noted that in 2010, RJD was completely decimated with 22 seats in 243-state assembly, while JD(U) had won 115 seats, when it was in alliance with the BJP.

In 2014 general elections, JD(U) faced an embarrassing performance.

Foes-turned-friends, Lalu and Nitish are reportedly trying to iron out their differences over seat-sharing, before assembly elections approach in the state. [BJP afraid of Janata Parivar merger: Nitish Kumar]

Fight over seats to affect Janata Parivar merger?

It is being speculated that mega Janata Parivar merger of six regional parties may have an impact.

However, some believe that Bihar assembly elections would not be a factor in the formation of Janata Parivar, that aims to corner BJP.
