Narendra Modi addresses Rally in Saharanpur to Mark Two Years of His Government
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a mammoth rally in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The rally was to mark Narendra Modi's government completing two years in power. Mr. Modi and his cabinet had taken oath two years back on the 26th of May 2014.
PM Modi began his speech by apologising for the small venue. He thanked the huge crowd for coming to bless him and his government in scorching heat. He said that it was an honour for him and his ministers.

Mr. Modi reminded people that from the Red Fort while addressing the nation on the Independence Day he had told that he was people's "Pradhan Sevak" and so he has remained in service of the 125 crore people of India.

Mr. Modi reiterated that governments are formed to fulfill the dreams of the people. Mr. Modi talked about how his government is given importance to building schools, hospitals, roads and transforming the lives of the poor.
PM on farmers:
He in strong words let the people know that, "Merely throwing crumbs at farmers was is not our way of working. We are trying to solve the problems the farmers face". PM further mentioned that, "I urge state governments and warn the sugar mills ... what earlier happened with sugarcane farmers will no longer go on".

about
the
steps
his
government
has
taken
for
sugarcane
farmers.

added,
"We
want
to
ensure
that
our
sugarcane
farmers
do
not
face
any
problems".
PM
told
about
soil
health
cards
that,
"We
have
given
soil
health
cards
to
our
farmers.
Give
our
farmers
the
right
opportunity
and
see
the
wonders
they
can
do".
PM on reduction in corruption:
PM Modi asked the huge gathering if anyone of them had heard a single story about his government indulging in corruption. He added that couple of years back no one was ready to come to people and give them the account of the work done. Now the things PM said are changing.
PM on saving girl child:
PM Modi said that fewer girls are being born as compared to boys as the girl child were aborted in their mothers' wombs. PM then talked about his government scheme "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao". He added that beti bachao beti padhao was for all castes and communities.
PM on retirement age of doctors:
PM informed the people that be it central level or the state level the retirement age for doctors has been increased to 65. PM appealed doctors to dedicate 12 days per year for providing free treatment to poor expecting mothers.
PM concluded by stating that his government will continue to work for the development of the nation.
