By-election results: TDP sweeps Nandyal, AAP retains Bawana, BJP wins Panaji, Valpoi
Ruling parties in Andhra Pradesh, New Delhi and Goa registered massive victories in bypolls for assembly seats in Nandyal, Bawana, Panaji and Valpoi. While Goa results went as expected in favour of the BJP, Bawana was a nail-biter with AAP emerging victorious. The results of the battle of prestige at Nandyal was also announced on Monday with TDP registering a massive win.
AAP's Ram Chander won with a margin of 24,052 votes in Bawana assembly constituency. In the high-stakes Nandyal assembly by election, TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won by a margin of over 27,466 votes. In Goa, the BJP registered thumping victories in both assembly constituencies of Valpoi and Panaji. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar won the Panaji bypoll with a margin of 4,803 votes while BJP leader Vishwajeet Rane won the Valpoi seat with a margin of 10,066 votes. Bawana by-election results 2017
1.30 PM: AAP's Ram Chander gets 59,886 votes, BJP's Ved Prakash gets 35,834 votes and Congress' Surender Kumar gets 31,919 votes.
1.28 PM: AAP candidate Ram Chander defeats BJP's Ved Prakash by 24,052 votes.
1.22 PM: AAP wins Bawana assembly seat with 59,886 votes.
1.13 PM: After 27th round of counting, AAP maintained massive lead with 59,844 votes. The BJP polled 35,782 and Congress remained third with 31,881 votes.
1.05 PM: After the 26th round of counting, AAP polled 58,209 votes while BJP polled 34,501 votes. Congress managed to get 30,758 votes

12.30 PM: After the counting of 23rd round, AAP polled 51,070 votes while BJP polled 29,595. Congress that was leading for a long time was pushed to the third place with 28,126 votes.
11.45 AM: AAP leads with a margin of 17,057 votes after 19 rounds of counting. AAP has polled 42,942 votes. Congress has polled 25,885 and BJP 23,949 votes.

Bypoll in Bawana became a necessity after AAP MLA Ved Prakash quit the party and resigned from the Delhi Assembly to join the BJP in March. Ved Prakash contested on a BJP ticket, Ram Chandra was AAP's candidate. Three-time MLA from Bawana, Surender Kumar contested on the Congress ticket.

Nandyal was a battle of prestige between Chandrababu Naidu's TDP and Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress. The seat fell vacant after the death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy earlier this year.
Goa by-election results 2017
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar won the Panaji bypoll with a margin of 4,803 votes. Parrikar mantained a lead from the first round of counting.

Parrikar, with the win has successfully been elected to the Goa assembly. Manohar Parrikar polled 9,862 votes against 5,059 by Girish Chodankar of the Congress.
"Performance and connect with people worked in my favour. I consider it a huge win. I will resign from my parliament seat within 15 days. I had held on to the seat since I had to complete disposal of funds that had been allocated. This is a big win," Parrikar said after winning from Panaji constituency. It has been the BJP strongman's bastion for years.
In another constituency in Goa, Valpoi, BJP's Vishwajit Rane emerged victorious with 16,167 votes. Congress' Naik is a distant second with 6,101 votes.
