Naming Dhumal as CM candidate is BJP's 'political compulsion': Congress
BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday announced Dhumal's name as the CM candidate for the upcoming Himachal Pradesh elections
The Congress has dubbed the naming of Prem Kumar Dhumal as the BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Himachal Pradesh as a "political compulsion".
Congress leader Anand Sharma told news agency ANI that Dhumal had been a "miserable failure" when he was the chief minister in the past.
Sharma said that the BJP has realised the Congress is strong on the ground in Himachal Pradesh and that it would be a difficult contest for them.
"I don't think this is going to make any difference. This is political compulsion. They realised that it is a very difficult contest for BJP and Congress party is strong on the ground," he told ANI.
