Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actress files molestation case against businessman
A veteran Bollywood actress has filed a molestation case against a businessman in Mumbai recently.
Mumbai, Jan 30: After a teenage Bollywood actress was allegedly molested inside a Mumbai-bound flight in December last year, now, a veteran Bollywood actress has filed a molestation case against a businessman in Mumbai.
The senior actress, who has worked in several blockbusters, filed a complaint against one Amar Khanna at the Juhu Police Station recently. The actress accused the man of molesting and threatening her for a few months now. She accused that the man threatened to kill her and her children.
Based on the complaint lodged by the actress, police have registered a case on January 27 under sections 354 D (stalking) 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement) of the Indian Penal Code.
The accused is said to be absconding. An investigation is on to solve the case soon, said a police official.
Some media reports stated that the veteran actress and the businessman knew each other well. However, after a business deal went kaput, things turned ugly between them.
