MP Govt plans to reduce height criteria for police recruitment: Shivraj Singh

The Madhya Pradesh Government on Thursday has planned to reduce height criteria before next police recruitment to encourage girls to take up employment in to the state police force.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "We have decided to reduce height criteria of 158 cm before next police recruitment so that more and more daughters can apply."

He was speaking at 'Ladli Shiksha Parv' (Girl Education Festival) organised to celebrate the birth anniversary of Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia, who endeavoured for betterment of girls.

Chouhan announced that "We'll provide Rs 31,000 Cr to the families of our daughters and implement laws so that their education is not affected."

"Rs 2000 was provided to daughters who took admission in Class 6. They will be provided some amount again if they go to next class," he added.
