Mosque Demolition Controversy: Now, Subramanian Swamy targets Tarun Gogoi
New Delhi, March 16: The BJP leader Subramanian Swamy slammed Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. Writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, Swamy said that Gogoi worsened situation in the state by welcoming illegal immigrants from Bangladesh to Assam.
Swamy's reaction came following Gogoi's statement in which he threatened to ban Swamy from entering into Assam. The CM on Sunday, March 15 lashed out at Swamy for his controversial remarks on mosque.
Swamy recently said that mosques are nothing but buildings and can be demolished at any time. Responding to the controversial remark, Gogoi said, "His comments are insulting for a community. We will take action. If he continues to talk like this, we will ban his entry into Assam."
Replying to Gogoi's statement, Swamy tweeted, "Gogoi has sent me a message in secret: If I want to enter Assam, then I come dressed as a Bangladesh infiltrator. All hospitality guaranteed."

The controversial remark by BJP leader came when he was on a personal visit to attend an event of a university in Assam last week.
"So there is no problem in demolishing them. They demolish mosques even in Saudi Arabia," he had said. The BJP leader also underlined that only temples are the places where god lives.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against Swamy by the Assam police for his controversial remarks.
