Monsoon to trigger heavy rains in many states, flash floods likely in Madhya Pradesh
New Delhi, July 05: The southwest monsoon advanced into north and northwest and the central parts of India as light to moderate showers occurred in several states and the national capital bringing relief from the heat and sultry weather conditions.
The monsoon is currently passing through Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh, the IMD said in a statement. Let us have a look at the weather forecast for Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh on July 05.
Bengaluru:

spells
can
be
seen
over
parts
of
Himachal
Pradesh,
Uttarakhand
East
Rajasthan,
East
Gujarat,
Konkan
and
Goa,
West
Madhya
Pradesh,
parts
of
Chhattisgarh,
Vidarbha,
North
Telangana,
North
Coastal
Andhra
Pradesh,
Coastal
Karnataka,
and
North
Kerala
and
Assam.
However,
Bengaluru
experienced
cloudy
weather
with
isolated
showers
on
Friday
because
of
a
cyclonic
circulation
induced
by
a
trough
over
southern
India.
IMD withdraws heavy rain alert for Mumbai; Light rains make a comeback in B'luru
Delhi:
As
forecast
by
our
Meteorologists,
Monsoon
2019
finally
arrived
in
Delhi
today,
almost
a
week
late
from
its
normal
onset
date
of
June
29.
As
per
Skymet
weather,
after
a
gap
of
almost
fifteen
days,
Delhi
received
its
first
spell
of
rain
on
July
4,
which
is
likely
to
continue
for
another
24
hours.
The
prolonged
dry
spell
which
was
just
preceded
by
these
showers
was
very
uneasy
as
the
day
temperatures
recorded
above
normal.
Mumbai:
The
month
of
July
started
with
a
bang
for
the
city
of
Mumbai.
In
the
initial
two
days
only,
heavy
Mumbai
rains
were
able
to
cover
half
of
its
monthly
rainfall
target
of
841
mm.
As
per
Skymet
weather,
In
the
wake
of
these
systems,
light
to
moderate
intermittent
rains
will
occur
over
Konkan
and
Goa
including
Mumbai
during
the
next
three
to
four
days.
Mumbai
rains
will
occur
with
light
to
moderate
intensity
only.
Madhya
Pradesh:
Vigorous
Monsoon
has
given
heavy
to
very
heavy
rains
in
many
parts,
during
the
last
24
hours.
The
highest
amount
of
rainfall
has
been
recorded
in
Damoh
at
184
mm.
Good
rains
of
87
mm
were
also
recorded
in
Sagar,
while
Ratlam
observed
83
mm
of
rainfall.
Guna,
Datia,
Pachmari,
and
Betul
also
reported
very
heavy
rains.
More
heavy
shower
is
forecast
for
the
state
with
a
warning
of
flash
flood
as
well.
