New Delhi, April 3: Not merely a politician, championing the Gujarat model of development, Narendra Modi has also entered the children's world. 'Bal Narendra-Childhood stories of Narendra Modi' has already taken the bullion by its horn as it is circulating in thousands.

Published by Rannade Prakashan and Blue Snail Animation, the book shows comic illustrations of Narendra Modi as a simple young boy, selling tea in railway compartments, but also fighting dangerous crocodiles and drowning children...single-handedly.

(Readers at this point may draw a comparison with the elements in the comics to real-life situation where the crocs may imply the opposition party and the drowning children as India)

Interestingly, the comic strip does not have an author and is rather a "larger-than-life portrayal of Modi's families, friends and society in general", report IBNLive.

The 45-pager shows him in various 'avatars'-saving drowning children, serving tea and food to the soldiers of 1962, facing school bullies, saving a trapped bird, helping his father run the household of six, acting in theaters, strategising in the school's kabaddi match and more. And it goes without saying that the leader proves his leadership in comics too and emerges victorious.

The book, however, does not bring any of his family member's names although there is a faint hint of his siblings here. But think of it, if Modi could achieve such things in childhood, how far will he reach now? Call it branding or promoting, the book certainly has elements that may give Rahul Gandhi several reasons to worry.
