Modi conferred the Prime Minister's awards for Excellence in Public Administration to Districts and other Central and State organisations for effective implementation of Programmes and Innovation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday honoured bureaucrats for Excellence in Public Administration on the occasion of Civil Services Day in New Delhi.

While speaking during an event Modi said, ''Earlier, Government role from healthcare to wanting to set up an industry, was very strong. Things are changing since 15 years.''
''With changing times, a need may arise that we may have to change our working style. From regulator, we need to be an enabling entity,'' Modi said.
PM also said e-governance, m-governance, social media- these are good means to reach out to people and for their benefits.
Modi conferred the Prime Minister's awards for Excellence in Public Administration to Districts and other Central and State organisations for effective implementation of Programmes and Innovation.
The awards have been instituted with a view to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary and innovative work done by Districts and Organizations of the Central and State governments for the welfare of common citizen.
