Modi in Arunachal Pradesh: Healthcare should begood quality, affordable, says PM in Itanagar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated various projects including Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre in Arunachal Pradesh's Itanagar.
Addressing a rally in poll-bound Arunachal Pradesh, Modi said that he is delighted to inaugurate a convention centre in Itanagar. "This is more than a building, it is a vibrant centre that will further the aspirations of Arunachal Pradesh. There will be conferences and cultural activities that will draw government officials and private companies", the prime minister said.
''Morarji Desai was the last PM to attend the North East Council meeting, no PM got the time to attend it after that. They became very busy. But I have come because of you. That's why I went to attend the North East Council meeting,'' the prime minister said.
''Healthcare has to be of good quality and it must be affordable. We are working towards building medical colleges across the country. This is because, when one studies in a particular area, one becomes better acquainted with the local health challenges,'' said Modi in Itanagar
The Prime Minister will also dedicate the State Civil Secretariat Building to the nation and lay the foundation stone of the Academic Block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science. Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to convey the same.
Meanwhile, Modi will also address two election rallies in Tripura on Thursday. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members are also expected to join the PM in these rallies. The Prime Minister will address rallies in Santirbazar of South Tripura and Agartala of West Tripura districts.
