Miscreants throw acid on bulls and cows in Agra
An FIR has been registered at Tajganj police station against the miscreants for throwing concentrated acid on bulls and cows in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh's Agra district on Tuesday.
According to Raja Singh, Incharge said that an FIR has been registered under IPC section 429 (Mischief by killing or maiming cattle, etc., of any value or any animal of the value of fifty rupees) and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
On Monday, the activists of saffron group, Bajrang Dal, claimed, that over a dozen of bovines including cows were being attacked with acid by an unknown person.
According to Additional city magistrate IV Vandita Shrivastav said, "The bovine have been given medical aid and the police too have filed an FIR. Whoever has attacked the animals, will be arrested soon."
This isn't the fisrt time, there are number of incidents reported from Bhopani village in Haryana's Faridabad district, where villagers poured acid on the cattle, mostly bulls, to shoo them away from their agricultural fields.
