Minutes before landing, SpiceJet plays national anthem
The national anthem was played by cabin crew on board SpiceJet flight SG1044, minutes before the landing.
A SpiceJet flight flying from Tirupati to Hyderabad on April 19 played out the national anthem when the flight was about to land at Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad International Airport.
Hurt by the manner in which the airlines was indifferent towards the incident, the bank manager, who made a video of the incident lodged a complaint with the airlines crew.
A leading daily reported that a passenger who was travelling with his wife and their one-and-half year-old daughter lodged a complaint with the airlines crew.
According to the complaint, the passengers and cabin crew were not in a position to stand up and accord it due respect. One of the cabin crew members switched off the music system in the middle of the anthem and later switched it on again, the statement read.

Meanwhile, a SpiceJet spokesman said a leading daily that the flight crew selected the wrong number on the playlist and the national anthem started playing. Immediately, the same was stopped and also regretted for the same.
He also said,"We have pre-recorded national anthem on our aircraft playlist to be used appropriately."
