Mild tremors felt in some parts of Bengaluru
It is the third report in the April on tremors that felt in several regions of Bengaluru.
Bengaluru, April 18: The residents of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri areas in Bengaluru woke up in shock after mild tremors felt in these regions on Tuesday morning around 7:35 to 7:37 am.
According to an eyewitness, he said that he noticed rattling of windows and shaking of dining table and falling utensils in the kitchen. Residents ran out of their houses in fear and later actively discussed the experience with fear among each other and on the social media.
It is believed that it is the third report on tremors in the city.
According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, it was confirmed that the tremors were felt but it was less than one on the Richter scale. An official from KSNDMC said that a team reached the spot after they received alerts and found out that the areas didn't record any seismic event.
Earlier this month on April 2, similar tremors felt in Hosadurga of Chitradurga district which recorded the magnitude of two units.
