New Delhi: Metro services to be partially hit on Monday
"Due to security reasons, as advised by the Delhi Police, two metro stations will remain closed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. due to a snap dharna likely to be organised by pro-Seemandhara and Telangana activists near VVIPs residences," a Delhi metro official said.
However, interchange and controlled exit would be allowed at the Central Secretariat station.
The Telangana issue has been disruption the Parliament also. Last week when the railway minister was in the Parliament to read out the budget, the session was ended in violent protests by the Telangana protesters.
The interim budget will be presented by the finance minister P Chidambaram today, under speculation that the session may be disruption yet again. He has already headed for the President's home for a meeting, following which he would be at the Parliament to read out the vote on account at 11 am.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has threatened to resign if the Bill is passed in the Parliament.
