For the Lashkar-e-Tayiba, the JuD is a very crucial outfit. It is the one which raises the funds for the Lashkar-e-Tayiba to run its terror operations. With the JuD on the backfoot following the arrest of Saeed, it was decided that the group will now be headed by Makki who is also under the watch list of the United Nations.
