Man carries parents on shoulders for 40 km to seek justice in fake FIR case

A tribal man, Kartik Singh, carried his parents on his shoulders and walked for about forty kilometers to the court in a Moroda village in Odisha in order to seek justice in an alleged fake case against him.

Kartik claimed that Moroda Police lodged a fake FIR against him and locked him up in jail for eighteen days in 2009. As a result of this, he was and is still 'outcaste' by his villagers.

Karthik who carried his old parents said that they were left alone for 18 days and can't leave them alone now. His only wish is to prove himself as not guilty before his parents pass away.

Karthik is an educated man, but he is unable to find a job nor able to get married since he has a case registered against him 6-7 years ago in the court.

According to advocate Prabhudan Marandi,'' Kartik is drowned so much in debt that he cannot feed his parents or himself. Moroda Police of Mayurbhanj district has a regular track of doing such things, but the innocent people are facing the consequences.
