Light rains likely in Delhi; respite from smog expected
The Met Department predicted that light rainfall may occur in the national capital later in the day.
The dense thick smog which has been bothering the residents of Delhi will eventually decrease and has already started to improve now.
According to Skymet weather, the wind flow was mild, calm and northwesterly that carried the pollutants from the adjoining states Punjab and Haryana where stubble burning were practiced on a regular basis.
Since the speed of the wind was slow the pollutants from the neighbouring were not blown away from Delhi and that led to the blanket of dense smog over the national capital.
However, the pace of the wind has increased due to which the pollutants were lifted and also the visibility level has been improved.
Meanwhile, the Met Department predicted that light rainfall may occur in the national capital later in the day.
