'Kumbh Mela': Sadhus meet to discuss lodging facility
Nashik (Maha), Jul 7: Scores of sadhus, mahants who have come in the city from different parts of the country for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, on Tuesday met to discuss issues related to their lodging in the 'Sadhu Gram'.
Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad president Mahant Gyandas has been given powers to allot plots to the sadhus and mahants inside the Sadhu Gram, which is temporarily developed on around 365 acres of land by the Nashik civic body.
Yesterday, they (sadhus) had met several senior district officials and police officers in this regard.
Arrangements for temporary tents, toilets, roads, electricity and water supply has been made in the 'Sadhu Gram'.
The 'Kumbh Mela', where lakhs of Hindus gather, is slated to start here from July 1.
