KSRTC service from Bengaluru to Tamil Nadu resumes

Passengers travelling between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on Monday had faced severe hardship because of the sudden cancellation of bus services.

The KSRTC buses plying between Chennai - Hubballi and Chennai-Chikkamagaluru were also targeted and their glasses were damaged on Monday evening in Vellore, the KSRTC official said. He added that they don't want to take risk by plying buses to Tamil Nadu. "We don't want to compromise on the safety of our passengers and vehicles. The relationship between two states was not well because of the Cauvery issue. So chances of miscreants targeting our vehicles is more," he said.

While KSRTC operates an average 410 schedules to Tamil Nadu daily, TNSTC operates 596 schedules every day, several passengers were stranded in bus terminus because of the cancellation of services.
