Kodagu floods: Drones deployed to locate stranded people
Kodagu, Aug 20: Seven drones (waterproof and thermal) sourced from Mangaluru are being sent to Kushalnagar and Madapur for locating stranded people and rescue operations.

Meanwhile, Deputy CM Dr. G Parameshwara scheduled to visit flood-hit areas in the district.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy assured that he would monitor rescue and relief operations closely and will be in constant touch with the district administration. "I will visit the district again in 4-5 days to review the progress in relief work," tweeted Chief Minister's Office.
Following heavy rains, educational institutions in Kogadu district have been converted into relief camps. Kodagu DC has declared holiday for all schools and colleges across the district on August 20 and 21.

Also, resorts, homestays and hotels in the district to remain closed for tourists till August 31, 2018.
