Kerala transport minister AK Saseendran resigns over lewd talk
AK Saseendran was the Transport Minister in the 14th Kerala legislative assembly. He belongs to Nationalist Congress Party and represents Elathur constituency.
Kerala Transport Minister A K Saseendran on Sunday resigned over purported audio clip of him speaking with sexual undertones to a woman. The minister made the decision after an audio clip hinting at alleged misconduct with a woman was aired by a local TV channel.
It is learnt that a TV channel aired phone sex tape in which the minister was allegedly engrossed in a sleaze conversation with a lady who had approached him for a help.
Saseendran also said he has informed chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding his decision to step down. He further said that his resignation should not be considered as his acceptance of guilt. He further appealed chief minister to probe the allegations.
Saseendran resigned in order to protect the values of his political party. Meanwhile, CM Pinarayi Vijayan told the media that he will thoroughly probe into matter.
