At least two militants were gunned down by security forces after encounter broke out between them in Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Tuesday.

Srinagar, Nov 22: At least two militants were gunned down by security forces after encounter broke out between them in Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Tuesday.

The security forces launched a combing operation in a residential area of Hanjan village in the district following tip-off about the presence of militants in the area.

As many as 377 ceasefire violations occured along the Line of Control and the International Boundary with Pakistan by November.

Till November 14, eight army personnel were killed and 59 injured on the LoC and IB. Four BSF men were killed and seven others injured till November 1.
