The Karnataka government's decision to examine the possibility of having a state flag came in for criticism.
In the midst of the Congress being accused of separatism in Karnataka, the party's high command has sought to know why a committee to examine whether a state flag was set up.
A meeting of the top brass of the Congress is scheduled to discuss the issue. The Congress says that the party does not have a policy for a separate flag. A clarification has been sought by AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka, K C Venugopal.
The Karnataka government's decision to examine the possibility of having a state flag came in for criticism. Although there is no bar in having a state flag, the Union Home Ministry said, " We are one nation, one flag."
