JNU student found dead in rented apartment
New Delhi, March 10: Mired in controversies, the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University faces yet another incident. A PhD student was found dead in a rented accommodation in Delhi on Thursday.
Delhi police said that the he committed suicide by hanging himself in the room.
They also informed that a suicide note was recovered from the scene where he mentioned personal matters and his relationship with a woman behind his decision to end his life. The student has been identified as 25-year old Dushyant. Resident of Delhi's Ber Sarai, he was the native of Bareily of UP.
Dushyant lived in the first floor of of a building in Ber Sarai, which had around 9 single rooms, all rented to students and working men. He allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan. DCP (South) Prem Nath said,"We received the call in the morning and rushed a team. A suicide note was found in the room. We have informed his family and initiated an inquest into the matter,"
