Jharkhand: 10 killed, 12 injured in van-trailer collision
The mishap occurred when the passenger laden pickup van collided with a speeding trailer near Bela village on the National Highway 33.
Jamshedpur, Aug 14: Ten people were killed and about a dozen others were injured when a pickup van carrying passengers collided head on with a trailer near Bela village in Jharkhand.
The mishap took place about 90 km from Jamshedpur, in East Singhbhum district on Monday, a senior official said.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum, Amit Kumar said apart from the five death on the spot as many succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The DC said around 12 seriously injured have been admitted in the hospital.

All the injured were rushed to the Baharagora but the doctors referred them to Tata Main Hospital for better treatment. Local JMM MLA, Kunal Sarangi, who reached the spot, himself joined the rescue operation and shifted the injured to hospital.
