3 terrorists killed in Budgam operation at J&K
Three terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces at Budgam district's Redwora area of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter broke out on Tuesday at the Radpug village of Mahagam area at around 7.30 p.m. when the terrorists opened fire at a joint security team undertaking cordon and search operations.
Officials said that the search operations continue. Three terrorists have been killed and arms and ammunition has been recovered. The search operation was undertaken in wake of the attack on the Amarnath pilgrims on Monday, a police official said.
The security team comprised personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), army's counter-insurgency Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operation Group.

A CRPF official said that troopers of 176 Battalion were on the operation along with 2nd RR and SoG when the shootout broke out.
The latest development comes two days after Amarnath yatra attack. Seven pilgrims were killed and 14 others, including policemen, injured when a bus of yatris was caught in a cross fire between terrorists and a police party in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantang district, police said. The bus was carrying pilgrims back from Baltal after performing the yatra.
