J&K army recruitment rally begins, 19,000 youth take part
Over 19,000 youth in Kashmir participated in a nine-day long army recruitment rally that began on Tuesday morning in Patan area near Baramulla district.
Srinagar: Over 19,000 youth from Kashmir participated in the army recruitment rally on Tuesday held in Baramula district. The rally which began on Tuesday morning will continue till April 12. The enthusiastic youths participated in the rally began at Patan area of Baramulla and will cover areas such as Bandipora, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Baramula, Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam.

The Kashmiri youths will be recruited in all categories such as soldier general duty, soldier tradesmen, soldier clerk/store keeper technical and soldier technical posts.
Earlier, Col Rakesh Kalia has informed about the army recruitment rally after the government website issued the notification regard it on January 1.
The notification was issued on websitehttp://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. It was open from January 1 to March 17 for the youth to register and apply online.
