New Delhi, Jun 3: Days after BJP president Amit Shah claimed that a decision over Ram temple issue would be taken at the right time, party's MP in the Rajya Sabha Vinay Katiyar on Wednesday said the issue can not be ignored by any government. The MP from UP warned if ignored this issue, government could face the wrath of Ram bhakts.

In an interview to the Indian Express, Katiyar said: "Is mudde ko abhi bhi ignore kiya gaya to Ram bhakto ka gussa Jwalamukhi bankar phoot sakta hai.(If this matter is ignored, Ram bhakts anger might erupt as volcano.)"

'No Govt can ignore Ram temple'

"This (Ram temple issue) isn't a hard issue to deal with for Govt, they can call all parties involved and negotiation can happen," Katiyar told ANI.

"BJP doesn't have majority in RS but Ram Mandir issue should be raised now. Ayodhya cell should be started. The way land ordinance bill is being talked about we can start same process for Ram Mandir issue," Katiyar further said. [Ram Temple an important issue but focus is on development: HM]

Reacting to the statement of Katiyar, a BJP MP from UP, Hasim Ansari (oldest litigant in Ayodhya case) said, "Musalman jaanta hai ki Vinay katiyar kya hai, aur uske saath kitne log hai. Ab Vinay Katiyar ki Ayodhya mey koi izzat nahi.Ye bayaan ab vo vapas lein. (Every Muslim knows Vinay Katiyar and who all are with him. Nobody respects him in Ayodhya. He should take his statement back)."

"Yeh ek sochi samjhi ran-neeti hai BJP ki (This is a pre-planned strategy of the BJP)," said Zafaryab Jilani, Babri Masjid Action Committee. [Decision on Ram temple will be taken at right time: Shah]

Earlier, BJP chief Amit Shah had made it abundantly clear that his party doesn't have numbers in the Rajya Sabha hence they can not talk about Ram temple issue as of now. He said the party lacked the numbers in the Lok Sabha to address core issues such as the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, Uniform Civil Code and abolition of the Constitution's Article 370 giving Jammu and Kashmir a special status.

"The case is pending before the Supreme Court. As and when the judgment of the Supreme Court comes, we will follow it and everybody else also must respect it," Shah said.
