Bengaluru, Nov 19: The IT city's Iranian girl's sexual harassment case has taken a fresh twist. The Manager of a travel & tourism company countered the allegations leveled by the complainant claiming that she was under-performer and left the company without dropping any intimation.

The Manager of Puthedan Holidays, Mukundan speaking to OneIndia said her performance failed to match the targets stipulated by the company. She was shortlisted in a campus interview held at a private college in Bengaluru and the company issued offer letter to this effect on July 10, 2015, Mukundan divulged.

However, on the other hand, the manager, who began to elaborate on her stint as an employee in the company alleged that her love affair with a boy from her college came as an obstacle for positive prospects of her career. "While she was undergoing training in the company in July, she suggested a boy for the company to hire," Manager said.

Mukundan further claimed the boy was recruited to the company on the reference of the woman. He alleged that both the boy and Iranian girl were having a love affair and after the lady left to Iran to complete procurement of visa process, the boy appeared upset. "Girls absence had negative impact on the boy, with he unable to reach company's targets," Manager added.

Following a weak performance of the boy, the company decided to terminate him as an employee. After this brief development, the girl arrived to India on September 23, 2015, obtaining the visa. However the female reported to the duty on September 28. "She was in distress as her lover was sacked from the work and she too displayed lack of interest towards job," Mukundan explained.

The girl did not turn out to the office on October 7. The company 'patiently' waited till October 8 and shot off a mail seeking explanation for her absence. Since there was no reply from the lady, the company to this effect removed her from the work, Manager narrated. Since the girl does not want the company to cancel the visa as she wanted to stay back in Bengaluru with her alleged boyfriend, the girl resorted to poor tactics of complaining against one of the company's top head", Mukundan allleged.

When asked weather the company made sufficient efforts to contact Iranian lady over the phone, Mukundan said the HR department made calls to which she chose not to respond. However the company did not agree to share the contact number of the lady with OneIndia and said the company does not have the contact number.

Interestingly, it could be observed, reporting to the work, gaging of the performance and termination occurred at neck-break speed.
