Intolerance: Now Uma Bharti warns Shahrukh, Aamir; Saif Ali Khan too dragged into controversy
Mumbai, Jan 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Uma Bharti once again ignited controversy over intolerance debate which recently has hit the country.
Uma Bharti, minister for water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation, issued warning against Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan.
Surprisingly, the minister also dragged Saif Ali Khan into the controversy. Despite maintaining complete silence, Saif Ali Khan must be shocked to see his name in the middle of such infamous controversy.
Uma Bharti, during a press conference on Saturday, Jan 23, said, "There's Aamir, Shah Rukh, Saif (Ali Khan) and another four or five actors. I must say one thing about them. If an actor remains an actor, everybody likes them, adherents of every political ideology like them."
"But when you make an ideological statement wrapped in politics, be prepared for a reaction. Don't say that I have the right to speak - in that case, the other side too has the right to react," she added.
Both Shahrukh and Aamir had faced criticism for their statements on growing intolerance in the country. However, Saif Ali Khan has not made any statement on the issue so far.
