Intolerance controversy: Now Shah Rukh talks about Freedom of Speech; here's what he said
New Delhi, Mar 1: After kicking a row with his comments on intolerance in India, now actor Shah Rukh Khan has said something about the freedom of speech.
While speaking at a trailer launch of his upcoming movie 'Fan', Shah Rukh said that freedom of speech also means the right to be silent.

On his 50th birthday in November last year, Shah Rukh had said there was "extreme intolerance" in the country. "There is intolerance, there is extreme intolerance... there is I think... there is growing intolerance," he had said.
Shah Rukh's remarks on intolerance had kicked up a political storm last year. However, the actor had later claimed that he never said India is intolerant and that his words were misconstrued.

His remarks kicked up a controversy with several political leaders and his fans criticising him.
Even actor Aamir Khan landed into the controversy when while talking about 'intolerance' he said, "Kiran and I have lived all our lives in India. For the first time, she said, should we move out of India?"
