Inter-religious love affair turns dangerous: Man confines, sexually assaults woman
Hyderabad, Dec 22: In a shocking incident, a man confined, sexually assaulted and tortured his former girlriend at his apartment in Tolichowki, major suburb in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the victim is a 30-year-old software engineer and a native of Karnataka.
After being subjected to physical and sexual abuse for five days, she, managed to sent a message to one of her friend on a social networking site on Sunday, Dec 20.
Then, police traced her location on Monday, Dec 21 and freed her from the confinement. The accused Syed Imad Hasan hails from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh and he is also a software engineer.
According to police investigations, they both were working at Dell in Gachibowli, as software professionals. They had an affair and both decided to get married.
But later, the girl refused to marry him, by citing the reason that their religions were different.
Then, Hasan started stalking her and forced her to change her decision. In Sept this year, the woman left for Dubai to work there, even then, Hasan continued to pester her via video-chatting and threatened her to divulge their relationship in front of her father.
He even blackmailed her by saying that he will expose her photos and videos in intimate position with him. Tired of his threats, the woman decided to meet him personally, when she visited Hyderabad for her US visa interview.
The due met at Hyderabad airport, from where he took her to his flat. He also dared her to murder her by threatening her with knife, petrol, pistol and a rope.
He switched off her mobile phone and asked her to open her Facebook and gmail account, to know what her family and friends were doing to find out her.
He also forced her to convert to Islam and sexually assaulted her. On Sunday, when Hasan had gone out for an hour, then, the victim, messaged one of her colleague at Dell, Hyderabad and narrated her ordeal as well as Hasan's address.
Then, her colleague alerted woman's brother in Karnataka, following which he rushed to Hyderabad to rescue his sister.
On Monday, a special team of Hyderabad police reached at Hasan's flat alongwith her brother and colleague. Initially, Hasan tried to give police a slip by claiming that he was alsone at home.
But when police raided his flat, then they found the victim confined inside a bathroom, with several injuries.
Humayun Nagar police then arrested Hasan Earlier, the victim was working with the Union ministry of information and technology in Delhi, TOI reported.
