Narendra Modi while speaking at the conference on 'Islamic Heritage: Promoting Understanding & Moderation' in Delhi said that the Indian democracy is a celebration of our age old plurality.

Indians see the whole world as one family, says Modi

While addressing he said,''Indians see the whole world as one family,'' Modi further said.

King Abdullah II of Jordan said,'' I am truly honoured to be among all of you. Faith should hold humanity together. Faith allows us to prosper and thrive.''

''Too much of what is heard in news & what is seen about religion today is all about what separates people. Around the world suspicions are inflamed by what different groups don't know about others. Such ideologies of hate distort the word of God to stir conflict, said King Abdullah II of Jordan.

King Abdullah II also said,''No matter how different we are, we have shared responsibilities to one another. Our strongest defence against turmoil is inclusion.''

Modi, diplomats, representatives from a wide range of Islamic institutions, academicians and think-tanks also attend the event which held at Vigyan Bhavan.

The Jordanian King arrived on Tuesday a three-day visit which is aimed at taking bilateral relations to a "new high".
