Indian student attacked in Italy's Milan; Swaraj monitoring situation


External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday tweeted out about an Indian Students attacked in Milan city in Italy and that she is personally monitoring the situation.

In a tweet, Swaraj said,''I have got the detailed report. Do not worry, I am monitoring the situation personally.''

Earlier on Monday, unfortunate incident of attacks on the Indian students residing in Milan were reported to the Indian Consulate in Milan.

Taking to its Twitter handle, the Consulate General of India in Milan urged all Indian students studying in the main city of Lombardy Region of Italy not to panic. It also said that the Consulate is taking up the matter to the highest level of law and order.

They further requested the students to report such matters to the Consulate on 3290884057 immediately. The Consulate has also advised the students to be in touch with each other as well as with the Consulate "and spread the information among other students about the areas where they face such incidents".
