Indian Mujahideen's gay porn novel connection

New Delhi, Nov 24: When it comes to the Indian Mujahideen (IM), there are always interesting tit bits about the manner in which the outfit functioned.

The favourite alias that the operatives of the IM used was Sharukh Khan. Be it Riyaz or Yasin Bhatkal, both chose the alias Sharukh Khan.

When it comes to their emails, the IM has used at least 10 different ids and would change them regularly. However, the Id stuff my stocking which has been adapted from a gay novel is the most interesting of the ids that the Indian Mujahideen had created.

Using a gay porn novel as an id benefitted the IM a great deal as for a considerable amount of time, it did not raise any suspicion among the security agencies who were tracking the activities of the IM.

Riyaz vs Yasin:

Riyaz and Yasin had very different styles of functioning. Riyaz Bhatkal one of the founder members of the IM relied heavily on technology and would communicate a lot through chatting services or emails.

However, Yasin was completely different in his style of functioning. He would rely on direct meetings and very often advised the cadres not to use the mail or phones to communicate.

Yasin had a dedicated team of five members who carried out the job for the IM. All the planning would be done in face to face meetings.

Yasin felt that using the net or the phone would help security agencies track them down.

However, it was technology which finally brought about the downfall of Yasin Bhatkal. When in Nepal and all set to cross over into Pakistan, Yasin made a call to his wife which was tracked by the Intelligence Bureau thus leading to his arrest.
