New Delhi, Aug 10: India says that the National Security Advisor Level talks will not be called off at any cost and even proposed August 23 and 24 as the dates.

However, there has been no confirmation from Pakistan as yet and this has caused several doubts about the seriousness of that country in resolving very crucial issues.

Sources say that India will not call off the talks at any cost. Talks have been called off several times in the past due to various acts of violence by Pakistan, but this time around the situation is different.

We want to ensure that there is meaningful dialogue and while many within Pakistan may want the talks called off we shall not play into their hands, a senior official informed OneIndia.

Pakistan has not confirmed a data as yet:

Pakistan on the other hand has not confirmed the dates as proposed by India. While there is talk that Pakistan is upset over the recent allegations that India has made against it, the official line given by Paksitan's National Security Advisor, Sartaj Aziz is that they are yet to fix an agenda for the talks.

Pakistan has not indicated any date as yet and there has been no official communication so far. According to the statement made by Aziz to the Pakistan media, they are still setting the agenda for the talks.

India will talk no matter what:

The Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan at a meeting in Ufa, Russia had decided to carry forward the talks. It was decided that the National Security Advisors would first meet. However since then there have been several instances of cross border violation.

To add to the problem, Pakistan's so called non-state actors carried out attacks in Udhampur and also Gurdaspur. It became clear in both the cases that the attacks were launched out of Pakistan. However Pakistan has denied that charge and calls it a creation of India.

India has however, decided that no matter what the pressure is, it would ensure that the talks are not called off. A senior officer informed that in the past too, India has witnessed unwanted aggression on part of both the Pakistan army and also the ISI to ensure that India calls off the talks.
