Bengaluru, Dec 14: India celebrates Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, which marks the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammad. The Eid is celebrated on the 12th day of the third month of the Islamic calendar.
The highlights of the celebration in India were illuminated shrine of Khwaja Moinduddin Chisti in Ajmer and devotees praying in Srinagar as the head cleric displayed a Holy Relic believed to be a hair from the beard of Prophet Muhammed.
