In defence of Cyrus Mistry, friend, politician Supriya Sule says he’s hardworking, focussed
Mistry, who was recently sacked from his job by the board of the country's largest conglomerate, however, is not without friends.
In fact, Maharashtra Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule, who is also Mistry's friend, defended the executive and called the entire episode "unfortunate" in a television interview on Wednesday.
Speaking to the NDTV, Sule, who is also the daughter of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, said Mistry was a hardworking and focussed man. Sule termed the entire episode "unfortunate".
"Mistry surrendered his entire family time and family business after being named chairman of the Tata Sons and it is wrong to suggest that he performed poorly," Sule added.
Earlier, the interim chairman of Tata Sons and predecessor of Mistry, Ratan Tata, informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday about the change in the top management of Tata Group.
Moreover, with Sule throwing her weight behind Mistry, the whole massive corporate controversy is definitely taking a political turn.
