IIT Bombay convocation: PM Modi says 'Innovate in India, Innovate for humanity'
Mumbai, Aug 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the 56th annual convocation of IIT Bombay convocation, said India has become the destination for IT development and suggested students not ever give up to succeed in life.

"My appeal to youngsters is - Innovate in India, Innovate for humanity, from mitigating climate change to ensuring better agricultural productivity, from cleaner energy to water conservation, from combating malnutrition to effective waste management," PM Modi said.
PM said, " The nation is proud of the IITs and what this institute has achieved. The IITs have built brand India globally and they did this over a period of few years."
"I am sure the last four years were a wonderful learning experience for you all. There is so much to look back and remember," said PM Modi.

After the convocation, the prime minister will inaugurate the new building of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, and Centre for Environmental Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay, the PMO said in a statement.
