If Muslim population keeps rising then another partition bound to happen: BJP MP Hari Om Pandey

The BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkar Nagar also said that a bill on population control must be introduced in Parliament in order to save India from another dreadful partition.

New Delhi, July 27: BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh, Hari Om Pandey, has made a highly controversial statement. He has said that rising Muslim population would lead to partition and creation of another Pakistan.

The BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkar Nagar also said that a bill on population control must be introduced in Parliament in order to save India from another dreadful partition.

"Muslims have 3-4 wives and 9-10 children. They will not be able to provide education to these children, so in such a situation is bound to lead to anarchy. If this keep happening that another partition of our nation is bound to happen. The way they have been demanding Shariat law, they will also demand for another nation, another Pakistan... If population of Muslims is not controlled then then the nation will split and another Pakistan would be carved out," news agency ANI quoted Pandey as saying.

"The menaces such as of terrorism, rape, sexual harassment prevailing in India is only because of the rising Muslim populations. If one looks closely, there is a rapid increase in the percentage of Muslim populants since the time of Independence," he further said, as per ANI report.

This is not the first that a BJP leader has made insensitive remark on Muslims. A few days back, BJP MP from Unnao, Sakshi Maharaj, had said that those demanding Sharia law in India should go to Pakistan.

AIMPLB had last week demanded that a Sharia court be set up in every district of the country.
